Our Story
Founded in 2019, Shangaar began with a single, elegant vision: to make exquisite designer ethnic wear accessible to everyone for their most cherished occasions, while promoting sustainable consumption. Though our digital platform is new, our roots and community presence have been established for years.
In India, grand weddings, Navratri festivals, and family celebrations are part of our identity. Yet, buying expensive lehengas or chaniya cholis that are only worn once doesn't make sense. We created a platform where listers can earn from their closet investment, and renters can access a curated treasury of high-fashion outfits.
